Over the last couple of days, Bee has started a new ritual. She checks to see if there are icicles on the deck railings, then she gets her boots, coat and mittens on…
… and heads out to harvest them. She does this very carefully, because she hates to watch the tiny delicate things break off and fall the 14 feet or so to the ground below the deck.
The deck faces roughly east – so she wears her shades.
Yesterday she just brought them in and munched them up right away. Today she put them into her orange juice and said, “Mmmm” with every sip. It got her to drink more orange juice than usual: bonus!
I’m pretty sure they melted away today, so she’ll be pretty bummed out in the morning.
